Tara Bernerd for Medea 1905
The collection by Tara Bernerd for Medea 1905 is the refined result of a lifetime of experience in global hospitality and residential design, distilled into a two-year process of creating and perfecting a capsule collection of eight furniture pieces with the Italian brand Medea 1905.

“My life and work are centred on creating captivating, but also intelligent spaces that make the experience of living feel effortlessly elevated,” Bernerd explains. “For this purpose, I seek to work with the best local artisans who truly understand how to honour and best harness the natural materials of their region, resulting in superlative products that invite touch and weave narrative.”
– Tara Bernerd (Milan, January 2025)

The collection begins with form, with shape and from there individualism arrives. Each piece is completely unique, each with its own voice, allowing a natural reaction to a mood, a place and a lifestyle.
There is a nod to a glamour of the past, embracing the artisans of today, this has been a journey of embracing and discovering people’s memories, movement and shape defines a collection where curvature meets textures, fabrics meet stone, colour and tone. It celebrates personality and the individual.
Curvaceous, charismatic, and confident, ‘Silhouette Stories’ embodies a cohesive vision, featuring voluptuous forms expressed by a rich yet restrained palette of noble materials: oak or gloss walnut frames, antique brass elements, fluted glass, surfaces of Grigio Onyx and Cipollino Verde marble and hand-stitched leather detailing.
